Awards-One Lovely Blog, Very Inspiring Blogger, and Sunshine Award
Well, I find myself with more unexpected awards thanks to Emily, The Lanther and Dianda! Not only have I been nominated for three awards this time, but by three different bloggers! Which, to me, is pretty fascinating since I didn’t expect anyone to read this blog let alone actually enjoy it. But, I only write about what my pets do. There wouldn’t be a blog without those monsters.
So, here are the rules for One Lovely Blog and Very Inspiring Blogger:
(1) Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them in your post.
(2) Share 7 things about yourself.
(3) Nominate 15 bloggers you admire.
(4) Leave a comment on each letting them know they have been nominated.
7 things about me: I am reading The Hobbit for the umpteenth time. I went grocery shopping today and said something disgusting far too loudly, to the amusement of my husband. I saved my sunflower sprouts from imminent death by hail while accidentally filling my shoes with water. I am playing Red Dead Redemption. My little sister (9 years old) called me today “just because she loves me”. I often wonder when I will start to feel like a “grown-up”. And, I wish that tickets across Canada were not so bloody expensive.

Ok, I know there are only twelve, but some of the awards call for 10 and others 15, so I compromised. Also, I wanted to keep a theme with my nominees. These bloggers all write about their pets, and it warms my heart to know that for all of the horrible stories we read/watch/hear, there are people out there like these nominees who treat their pets like family. They treat them well, and love them enough to write about them in their blogs. Sometimes it saddens me that there are so many stories out there about the maltreatment of our furry friends and it’s good to know that there are people out there who take their pets (and even other peoples pets) seriously. Good on all of you.

On an end note, I think this will be the last awards post I do for a little while as they are very time consuming. Not that I don’t appreciate them, but my life is about to get fairly hectic and I am going to have trouble enough keeping up with my regular posts. Thank you from myself, Mylo, Toady, and Odin.
